Due to increased cost of AAU membership and insurance costs there will be a small increase in registration fees this year. Membership fees include registration, AAU membership and supplemental insurance for the season. Fees are dependent on total number of players on the team and the type of play involved. (League or Tournament) League teams will be less. Uniforms belong to the club to avoid additional costs unless otherwise discussed prior to registration. If unforms are purchased, they belong to the player. If provided, they belong to the team. Ocean Renegades teams are all self-supported, we do not share money between teams.

Registration forms can be found on the schedule/forms page. Only players accepted to a team need to fill out a registration form. Tryouts require the waiver form signed by a legal guardian. You must have a signed waiver form to try out, or you can not participate. No exceptions. Liability Waiver

Our team is not just about playing basketball, it is about turning an individual into a team mate, dealing with the frustrations of losing, and enjoying the exhilaration of a win.
We understand the team with the most points doesn’t dictate who has won or lost.

Determination: the act of coming to a decision or of fixing or settling a purpose.
Decide how bad you want it and how hard you are willing to work to get it.
Dedication: the state of being dedicated: Her dedication to medicine was so great that she had time for little else
To sacrifice the little things to earn the bigger prize.
I have the desire to be the best, I am determined to do whatever it takes to achieve that goal and I will dedicate myself until I believe.
Ocean Renegades will be comprised of players from different towns across Ocean and surrounding counties. The age groups will be determined at sign-ups.
Younger players may be asked to play up if they make a team. We will enter tournaments at the throughout the Tri-State area with potential of Nationals should we qualify.
We do not carry players just to offset cost, everyone should expect to improve and earn more time on the floor. A Bench of 10-12 will allow a full practice compliment and will compensate for players that may leave the team. Our goal is to have players stay with the team from start to finish. Realistically this sometimes does not happen.
It is extremely difficult to find minutes for players with a highly competitive drive and desire to play.
Renegades is not a pay to play team. You earn minutes.
We keep our sign-up costs low and rely on sponsors to keep going.

The idea is basic, the thought is pure. If you take care of the small things the larger things, come to be.
Play the game as hard as you can and never let the score dictate your attitude, desire or will to be the best.
Never quit, those who never quit…. never lose.
You can be outscored but still be the winner of any contest or game. What determines a winner is the one who holds their head the highest after the competition, not the one who scored the most points.
Your opponent wants to see your head down…keep it high and be proud. Leave nothing. Never lose!
