Ocean Renegades Basketball Mission Statement
At Ocean Renegades Basketball, our mission is to provide a safe and supportive environment where children can develop their basketball skills, while also learning important values such as sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect. We believe that basketball is more than just a game, it is an opportunity to build strong relationships and promote a sense of community among young people.
By emphasizing the fundamentals of basketball, we aim to help our players reach their full potential, both on and off the court. We strive to create a culture of inclusivity and positivity, where every child feels valued and supported, regardless of their skill level or background. Our ultimate goal is to instill a lifelong love of basketball, and to help our young players become confident and well-rounded individuals who will make a positive impact in their communities. Those that never quit never lose. That is a true lesson that can be carried through life.
In order to obtain our vision, Ocean Renegades follows the blueprint below:

Three D’s of success
Dedication – To sacrifice the little things to earn the bigger prize. I have the desire to be the best, I am determined to do whatever it takes to achieve that goal and I will dedicate myself until I believe.
Determination – The act of coming to a decision or of fixing or settling a purpose. Decide how bad you want it and how hard you are willing to work to get it
Desire – A longing or craving, as for something that brings satisfaction or enjoyment: a desire for fame. To be the best at what you do and who you are
REFUNDS: Ocean Renegades does not issue refunds for early departure or injuries throughout the season. Our budget is based off of the number of players on the team, and the expenses won’t change if you have to depart the team early.
How far do we travel:
We strive to keep tournaments local, usually within a 2 hour radius of Ocean County and often much closer. This ensures convenience and lower expenses for players, staff and their families.
IF the team is ELITE level we may do overnight travel, that is determined well in advance.
Cost:
Our Coaches all volunteer their time and do not get paid or reimbursed for personal expenses, but doing so we maintain a cost basis lower than most recreations programs in the area.
Uniforms do not have to be purchased, they belong to the team, similar to School basketball programs.
Player cost is generally between $275 and $400 per player per season.
